Axiles Bionics develops innovative prosthetic ankle solutions for people with lower-limb amputations. At the intersection of technology, design and movement, we work to create solutions that improve mobility in everyday life.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Digital Communication & Brand Environment Intern to join our Marketing team. Your core focus will be content creation and digital communication and depending on ongoing projects, the intern may also have the opportunity to discover and support other activities related to design or events.

This is a hands-on internship where learning comes through doing. You will be encouraged to take initiative, test ideas, ask questions and learn along the way. The team will be there to support and guide you, but you should also feel comfortable working independently, taking ownership of your tasks and actively contributing to ongoing projects.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Content Creation & Social Media (70%)

• Multimedia asset creation: Plan, shoot, and edit short-form videos and photos featuring our products, team, and company culture.
• Platform optimization & trends: Help launch and grow our TikTok and Pinterest presence, test new content formats, and keep our editorial calendar up to date.
• Art Direction support: Research visual inspiration, create mood boards, scout shoot locations, and assist on-set during photo/video shoots.

2. Digital Comms & Community (20%)

• Storytelling & PR: Help write newsletters, blog posts, press materials, and user spotlight stories that highlight the real-world impact of our bionic solutions.
• Community outreach: Identify potential ambassadors, content creators, and inspirational user profiles to build authentic partnerships.
• Performance tracking: Review simple monthly analytics to see what content, formats and topics resonate best with our audience.

3. Cross-functional projects (10%)

Depending on your personal interests and ongoing company projects, you will get hands-on exposure to:

• Graphic Design: Assist our designer with social graphics, UI/UX ideas, or web visuals.
• Events & PR: Help brainstorm booth concepts, giveaway experiences, and support setup for internal or industry events.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Available for at least 3 months.
• Student in Communication, Marketing, or Digital Media available.
• A digital-first storyteller with sharp photo and video creation skills and a very good understanding of current social media trends and their codes.
• Creative, curious and proactive in suggesting new ideas.
• A good communicator in English with strong writing and editing skills.
• An organized self-starter who loves the dynamic, fast-paced environment of a tech start-up.
• Organized and able to manage several small projects in parallel.
• Bonus: An interest in design, technology, innovation or the medical sector is a plus.

In line with the standard framework for academic internships in Belgium, this is an unpaid internship and must be completed as part of an educational programme under an internship agreement with your school or university. Applications from students studying outside Belgium are also welcome.
